Everybody has a network these days. Just one computer connected to the Internet is a network, since the Internet connects your computer(s) to the global network of millions of others around the world.
By its very nature, the Internet is a wide-open door to whatever computers and servers are connected to it. Firewalls are necessary, but too often an easy-to-install firewall is inadequate or causes problems and is thus disabled. I designed a firewall for Internet Service Providers. I can help with your network protection.
Please contact me for help with planning a new network, modifications to an existing network, expansion to handle larger loads, to discuss potential benefits of migrating from Windows to Linux, preparing for a PCI DSS audit, help establishing network security policies and procedures, etc.
